Orlando City displayed an impressive brand of football, led by the ever-threatening Iván Ángulo. Pedro Gallese exhibited his goalkeeping prowess, denying the opposition three crucial times. The match kicked off with a touch of magic from Rossi, who threaded a precise pass to Gressel, securing a 1-0 lead.
In the 26th minute of the first half, Mauricio Pereyra orchestrated a beautiful play, delivering the ball to Iván Ángulo on the left wing. Ángulo surged forward, delivering a pass into the box, but Ramiro's attempt veered too central, allowing the Columbus goalkeeper to make the save.
Iván Ángulo remained a constant threat for Orlando City, outmaneuvering two defenders in a daring run. However, his pass to Ojeda was slightly overcooked, resulting in an easy catch for the opposing goalkeeper.
