Australia and Brazil played out a 1–1 draw after Brazil scored a dramatic equalizer in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Brazil thought it had taken the lead just before halftime when Estêvão found the net in the 45th minute, but VAR intervened and the goal was overturned.

Australia then took the lead in the 68th minute. Nestory Irankunda stepped up for a free kick and delivered a spectacular right-footed strike into the top-left corner, putting Australia ahead 1–0.

Brazil responded with increasing pressure. Vinícius Júnior and Raphinha created several opportunities, while Australia goalkeeper Patrick Beach made important saves to preserve the lead.

But Australia couldn't hold on.

With the clock approaching the final whistle, Brazil won a corner in the 90+4th minute. Raphinha delivered the cross, and Rayan rose inside the box to head the ball into the bottom-left corner in the 90+5th minute, rescuing a draw for Brazil.
