The breakthrough came just after halftime in spectacular fashion. In the 48th minute, Miranchuk curled in a stunning free kick from distance, placing it into the top corner to give Atlanta a 1-0 lead. The visitors doubled their advantage in the 67th minute when Tristan Muyumba finished from close range after a well-worked move, capitalizing on a defensive lapse to make it 2-0.

Toronto responded quickly to keep the contest alive. In the 71st minute, Emilio Aristizábal rose to meet a cross and headed home to cut the deficit to 2-1. The hosts pushed forward aggressively in the closing stages, earning multiple corners and creating late pressure, but Atlanta’s defense held firm.

Despite a frantic stoppage time filled with set pieces and blocked attempts, Atlanta managed the game effectively to secure all three points on the road.
