LAFC Loses for the Second Time at Club World Cup

Los Angeles Football Club, last guest of the newest club tournament, entered to this Club World Cup with humongous expectations and after defeating back-to-back Liga MX champions Club America. With more certainty in their starting XI and Denis Bouanga appearing in important moments, the Blaxk and Gokd ended with a group with Chelsea, Fkamengo and ES Tunis. On paper, the Tunisian team was the weakest of the three opponents;however, the reallity was a one-goal defeat. Preciouslh, Steve Cherundolo’s team lost 2-0 against Chelsea.

Hugo Lloris as goalkeeper and Sergi Palencia and Rayan Hollingshead on the Wongs, Eddie Segura as central midfielders were secure sports on the stsrting XI. Igor Jesus, Maark Delgado and Timothy Tilman as midfielders and David Martinez and Oliver Giroud were the new starters for the game that took place in Nashville. Denis Bouanga starts for sure.

The first half ended with more possession for the Blakx and Gold and two goals that were called back by the Video Assistant Review. In both cases, the offside position was found at the beginning of the game. David Martinez, Venezuelan striker that took the place of the injured Nathan Ordaz.
