Nashville SC delivered a commanding performance at home, cruising to a resounding 5–0 win over Orlando City SC in one of their most complete displays of the season.
The hosts wasted no time asserting control. In just the 5th minute, Cristian Espinoza opened the scoring with a clinical finish from the right side, setting the tone early for Nashville’s dominance.
Orlando attempted to respond, with Duncan McGuire forcing a save from Brian Schwake, but the visitors struggled to gain momentum as Nashville continued to dictate play.
The pressure paid off again in the 28th minute when Sam Surridge calmly converted from the penalty spot to double the lead, sending Nashville into halftime firmly in control at 2–0.
The second half only intensified Nashville’s dominance. Surridge struck again in the 55th minute with a composed finish inside the box, completing his brace and effectively putting the match out of reach.
Orlando showed brief signs of life, coming close when Griffin Dorsey hit the post, but it proved to be a rare bright moment in an otherwise difficult night for the visitors.
Nashville added a fourth in the 67th minute, with Surridge completing his hat trick after a well-worked attacking move involving Espinoza and Jeisson Palacios.
The rout was completed in the 80th minute when Warren Madrigal found the back of the net, capping off a dominant attacking display.
Despite late efforts from Martín Ojeda and Marco Pašalić, Orlando were unable to break through, as Nashville’s defense held firm to secure the clean sheet.
Final Score: Nashville SC 5–0 Orlando City SC
A ruthless and clinical performance from Nashville sends a strong message, while Orlando will look to regroup quickly after a difficult night on the road.
