Only One LA Team Makes It Out to Defend The MLS Western Conference

Updated: 7 days ago

LA Galaxy might be second in many hearts and during league but today in LA, they are the ones representing western conference with a 6-2 win over Minnesota this past weekend. Now they are on their way to one of the final objectives making it to the final against Seattle Sounders which is another strong opponent this year, who also that just eliminated the first-place team in the league and local nemesis of the dearly LA Galaxy.

Although Seattle is from a farther region, LA Galaxy is fortunate to host at home this year in the MLS final. They have a lot of pressure but it pretty accurate that this team builds on their character when in boiled situations.

This club this year has shown how much resilience in adversity and the choas of losing colleagues has made the a great team again. The facts are the only important things if you subside the horrible loss they took in the last season. The team couldn’t even agree on management issues and the players couldn’t even connect having world class players,  season after season before LAFC conspired on becoming the best of the west not even players like Javier“ Chicharito “ Hernandez, Mexican national player, and legendary Zlatan Ibrahimovic was enough to win more titles.

The issues grew far enough that even the fans were becoming discouraged in attending matches.

Yesterday LA Galaxy had so much weight finally off there shoulders, with a 6-2, win, leaving behind there biggest rivales, proving to everyone that they can be that heroic team they used to be like when Donavan, Jones, and Bekham were picking up cups.

So many trails and tribulations these past year allowed them to grow and make it through the last bit of the test. Even when we might wonder what were,” the text messages and calls” the night before between each other after they heard about LAFC being eliminated, it’s like it wasn’t a reason to stay up and celebrate, we will never know, we just know that Galaxy woke up ready to seal the deal and not boast about who stayed behind.

Today, LA Galaxy might not have big shot names, as many have said, but they have class acts and homegrown players and most certainly made many high-quality transfers this year to make the Galáctico team a refreshed face for everyone inside and out to enjoy. The Key players like young and brilliant Riquí Puig, who has been a tremendous brain of the team, the wall of armor with Edwin Cerrilo, Jalen Neal, Maya Yoshida, Martin Caceres, Miki  Yamane, the speed and tenacity up top with Joseph Painstil, Gabriel Pec, Diego Fagundez and the new edition to the stars, Marco Reus but let’s not forget the new and improved Coach Vanney who’s been effective since the hardships.

LA reached the Western Conference Final after sweeping the Colorado Rapids in their Round One Best-of-3 Series. They then dominated Minnesota United FC6-2, in the Western Conference Semifinals. The Galaxy have scored a record 15 goals across three postseason games. They're led by the "Killa P's" trio of Riqui PuigGabriel Pec and Joseph Paintsil, as well as striker Dejan Joveljić. LA is in their first Western Conference Final since 2014, the same year they last lifted the Philip F. Anschutz Trophy. The sixth would be a huge liberation from the past season and would prove that they are more than enough to represent their city and, even more, their conference.

The devastation of losing and coming so far would not be ideal, but it would allow them to grow regardless, we are not looking at a pitiful team this season because it looks like LA Galaxy will not be making any more mistakes. “ We’ve learned from our mistakes; we have learned over and over the mistakes we made in the past, and the ones we make in each game, each mistake, individually and as a team, are here to prepare us for next week's final.” Said Coach Greg Vanney. This is not something the team is looking forward to it is from the youngest fan to the oldest fan that this LA is the favorite to win the 2024’s cup.

On the other hand, the Sounders are one win away from their fifth MLS Cup trip, following up their Round One Best-of-3 Series by sweeping off Houston Dynamo FC with a 2-1 extra-time victory at top-seeded LAFC. Against the Black & Gold, homegrown striker Jordan Morris scored in the 109th minute, and veteran goalkeeper Stefan Frei made nine saves. Those stars showing up helped end Seattle's 10-game unbeaten streak against LAFC (dating back to May 2021). Seattle is chasing their third MLS Cup title and first since 2019. They've advanced to the Western Conference Final seven times in club history.

The match coming up between these two resilient groups demonstrates that anyone in league the can take the cup, last season LA, were in the bottom of the pit, the Sounders have also had their tough moments and know how it feels to fall short. Today, they are both robust and aware of what they have to offer to make history in the MLS league and their clubs. Ideally, the script has it for LA to win at home, and because they know that, that gives the match an extra urge of intensity on November 30th at the Dignity Health Sports Park, 7 pm Pacific Time. The audience today is exclusively watching two teams that will leave everything on the line to lift the cup there next Western Cup.
