Orlando City Dominate Charlotte FC 4–1 in Statement Victory

Orlando City SC delivered an emphatic performance at home, defeating Charlotte FC 4–1 in a match that showcased attacking quality, depth, and second-half dominance.

Orlando struck first in the 21st minute through Luís Otávio, whose long-range effort found the back of the net to give the Lions an early advantage. Charlotte responded well, and in the 33rd minute, Morrison Agyemang leveled the match with a powerful header off a pinpoint delivery from Pep Biel, sending the teams into halftime tied 1–1.

The second half, however, belonged entirely to Orlando.

Just four minutes after the restart, Martín Ojeda restored the lead with a clinical finish inside the box, capitalizing on a well-worked move involving Justin Ellis and Tiago Souza. Ojeda wasn’t done yet, he doubled his tally in the 61st minute with a beautifully struck free kick that curled into the bottom corner, putting Orlando firmly in control at 3–1.

Orlando put the game beyond reach in the 87th minute when Ignacio Gómez capped off the night with a stunning left-footed finish into the top corner, assisted by Iván Angulo, sealing a dominant 4–1 victory.
